Mobile Boutique Truck

Designed and built the interior of a former UPS step van into a fully functional mobile boutique. Led the end-to-end concept, layout planning, and build-out, including fixture design, storage solutions, lighting, power integration, and customer flow. The space was engineered to support travel, handle product weight, allow fast setup, and maintain consistent merchandising standards across locations. The result is a self-contained retail environment that balances operational efficiency with a considered customer experience.

Joseph Ribkoff Shop Entrance @ Caesars

A cost-effective cosmetic refresh to transform the space into a compelling shop-in-shop experience. Elevate the brand presentation with strategic updates, including fresh paint, enhanced lighting, mannequins, curated fixtures, and SEG frames/graphics for a cohesive and impactful visual identity.

The front of this column faced the store but lacked visual appeal, so I directed my design team to introduce a playful product display featuring hats and custom-made hands mounted to the wall. These hands not only add a unique, eye-catching element but also serve a functional purpose; whether left empty as sculptural accents or used to showcase a few hats. This creative touch enhances both aesthetics and engagement within the space.

Revamping an Older Space

The thoughtful addition of area rugs, intentional fixture clustering, new mannequins, and curated props transformed a once flat, fixture-dense space into a more dynamic and engaging environment. Strategically placing mannequins on tables and throughout the store added depth, broke up the monotony, and created visually compelling moments that enhanced the overall shopping experience.

Core Lobby - Oceans Hotel & Casino, Atlantic City

The "Core" stores are a custom, higher end souvenir, logo and sundry shops. I fused the fashion & souvenir merchandising concepts together, utilizing only tables for floor fixtures to create a menagerie of product presented in multiple vessels placed haphazardly. The introduction of the bamboo, sand and seagrass elements soften the coldness of the blue and steel as well as invoke a relaxing spa-like environment suitable for an oceanside resort.

BEX Sunglasses Pop-up Shop - Cowboy Christmas

What a fun project! This pop-up shop was constructed with 4 x 10 shipping pallets and utilizes Ikea lighting and furniture. This approach kept build costs very low considering the square footage. Cost was roughly $10 sq. ft. not including the lighted channel and halo signs used for other projects.

I designed this booth re-using the pallets from my previous design which featured more clothing. In this particular design, I needed to feature/merchandise only caps and sunglasses, both small items. I used a combination of custom made, free-standing sunglass cases, cube shelves and the small version of the vending machines.

BEX Retail Chill Space

The president of BEX wanted to create a chill meeting environment to record videos and perform podcasts in addition to featuring product.

I could not fully remodel the leased space so I installed a portable museum wall to block off the office doors and installed a barn door to close off the open entrance to the back. A little bit of paint and a huge mural set the brand tone. I then sectioned the space into 3 chill areas for meetings and accessorized with BEX signage, fixtures and product.

Storefront Presentation - Before/After

This location lacked a dynamic presentation at the storefront. I came in with simple risers and forms to block the view under the table and create the drama to draw interest. In addition I added capacity by placing a spinner at the storefront.

Mini Boutique - Las Vegas

This image shows the flexibility of a permanent kiosk and how a basic shell can be transformed into any brand. Featured here is a version of the LICK boutique.

Mini Boutique - Las Vegas

Also known as a "kiosk", 5 of these mini boutiques were designed with a contemporary minimalist concept in mind, but still feel like a store you can step into. They were add-on retail spaces to an existing bridge/walkway to coincide with the remodel of the resort.

Essentials Living Room - Borgata, Atlantic City

These fixtures were a unique challenge. I needed to compliment the hotel furnishings and environment by making the fixtures look like furniture. They had to be functional, flexible and lockable. After an aggressive 12 week design and build process, the millwork team and I successfully opened the store on time in conjunction with the hotel remodel.

The splashes of teal accents combined with chrome fixtures and the neutrals of black, white and gray create a calming environment in contrast to the loud club music you hear throughout the store.

Egress door in a weathered "Stage Door" concept. The artchitect originally spec'd this door to be glass. Considering the rock and roll theme, a cheeky stage door completed the look of the store exterior and was still functional for fire code.
